The feel of fall is in the air. I have been working on some projects and will be adding some new things soon on Quilt Block/Pillows. I will be sewing and embroidering personalized quilt blocks with colors chosen by those ordering. Also I can add personalized embroidery to quilt blocks already sewn together to cut down on cost for those ordering.

I will also be working on new styles of skirts that will be close fitting at waist and hips but full at the bottom without slits on back or sides. These styles will have elastic and some 5 pocket, waistband and zippers. I've heard several people who prefer this style of modest skirts. I will also add a section to show how to convert a pair of jeans into a skirt under a new sewing section I will be adding.

I have also added three simple afgan pattern under Free Patterns for Beginners for those looking for simple patterns. Feel free to send requests for simple patterns and I will try to write and post them.

Monogrammed Denim Purses

I just added Monogrammed Denim Purses and want to give a good description of the product. The denim is a high quality in a deep indigo. The lining will be 100% cotton or a cotton/poyester blend. Picket run the width of the purse on both sides to help with organization. The women I've talked to really like to have plenty of pockets that you can actually put things in other than folded paper. I only have a medium purse listed but will be adding xlarge, large, and small. The small would be for children which would include thier name in upper and lower case lettering with butterfly, puppy, flower or something else that children like.

I will also be listing monograms on towel sets, towels, handtowels, fingertip towels, and washclothes for gifts also or for yourself. These can be made for wedding gifts or for children like what would be on a purse. These things are available now upon request.

Life is an ever-learning process!

Most kids think, I'll be so glad when I get out of school. I've found that since I graduated high school, which was a while ago, I have learned so much more through independent study. I've learned new skills with practice and come to understand the world around me much better through reading and meditating. This taking the time to learn to run my life better, my life continues to run smoother even when hard times arise. The term "Stop to smell the roses" is a very important statement to live by, not to just listen to!

Sometime in the day I reflect on what I have been doing all day. Most days it doesn't look like I do hardly anything seeable. So when I reflect I can recall what I did even though I can't always see it around me. Everything counts because something or someone is effected by anything you do as well as what you don't do. As a homeschooling mom I have to direct the kids in their activities like learning and chores as well as trying to guide them to be productive during thier spare time. I have certain chores to do during the day, trying to get a small business up and running to add a little to the home income, study the scriptures, cook, etc. But I find if I don't reflect on the progress I made today, that monotomy sets in and sometimes I loose my sense of direction. Sometimes we don't accomplish all that we want to, so tomorrow is a new day to try to get back on the right track. So be sure to take some time to reflect on what you have done today to stay focussed so you know why you keep going and what you need to do tommorrow!
